Our “I Am More Than a Baby Mama, I Am LOVE, POWER, STRENGTH and RESPECT” program is
designed to help low-income single mothers and at-risk girls gain control over their future, believe in
themselves and develop the skills to break the cycles of poverty and low self-esteem by providing resources
through our comprehensive program series and components:


Positive Self-Concept Building (Series 1)


Job-Readiness and Skill-Building (Series 2)


Financial Literacy (Series 3)


 Health and Wellness (Component 1)


Teen- Pregnancy Prevention and Positive Self-Image Building (Component 2)


HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention (Special Events)

In particular, program activities facilitate introspection and self-exploration to help participants to
restore a sense of life-purpose, restore a sense of inner strength, reconnect with personal dreams, goals, and
ambitions, re-instill positive self-images, and invigorate the motivation to seek, plan, and achieve
financial freedom, self-sufficiency, and success.  Our programs are not only directed at changing each
program participant’s attitude and behavior, but also at getting to the core of who they are to aid in
manifesting their life’s purpose and goals into fruition.

We're proud to launch our new health and wellness program which brings awareness to medical and non-
medical issues that affect low-income single mothers and at-risk girls’ health and well-being. As “wellness”
is a broad concept, the goal is to explore all of the ways in which low-income single mothers and at-risk
girls’ lives can be enhanced. This program encompasses physical, mental, emotional, social, and
environmental aspects while incorporating a multidisciplinary approach to include economic, educational,
cultural, environmental, and social issues.   More specifically, this program emphasizes becoming healthy
through developing healthy behaviors and through behavior change.  Topics of exploration include, but
are not limited to: nutrition, gardening, meal planning, physical fitness, anger and stress management,
abuse recognition and reporting and other related topics while promoting emotional wellness to help low-
income single mothers and at-risk girls do the following:

        Value themselves: This includes valuing and appreciating themselves; having healthy emotional,
cognitive, and physical habits; and engaging in meaningful and rewarding activities.

        Find balance and purpose: This includes having a sense of balance, meaning, and purpose in life;
having meaningful beliefs and practices; and being able to adapt to change and cope successfully with
adversity.

        Connect with others: This includes having compassion for others; identifying with a community;
and having meaningful, rewarding, and supportive relationships.
